§ 17-159. Towing of vehicles and storage at owner's expense; records of vehicles removed.

  • The chief of police may remove or cause to be removed any vehicle parked in violation of this article, at the sole expense of the owner of such vehicle, to any public garage located in the city; and such owner shall be liable to charges for the removal and storage of such vehicle. The chief of police shall maintain a record of all vehicles removed or towed, pursuant to this article, indicating date and time of removal or towing, place where the vehicle was parked, place of storage, name of towing service or company, and name of police officer issuing the order of removal or towing.
